“Since, then, you have been raised with Christ, set your hearts on things above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God. Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things. For you died, and your life is now hidden with Christ in God. When Christ, who is your life, appears, then you also will appear with him in glory.” (Colossians 3:1-4)
On Easter Sunday we were not only reminded of how Jesus was resurrected, but how we have been raised to a new life because of what Jesus did for us. Therefore, our intentions should be to renounce the ways of old and focus on the goodness of God, which opens up a whole new world for us. No longer do we have to be mired in sin and to have a negative outlook on so many things, perhaps even on our existence. Now we can live day-to-day with a new, fresh and good perspective, because we trust in God, and our new life in Christ lasts forever. God continues to keep his promises!
Prayer: Dear Lord, thank you for this new life I have been granted because of you. Help me to be reminded every day of your goodness, grace, and mercy. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
