“I, therefore, the prisoner in the Lord, beg you to walk in a manner worthy of the calling to which you have been called,  with all humility and gentleness, with patience, bearing with one another in love,  making every effort to maintain the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace:  there is one body and one Spirit, just as you were called to the one hope of your calling,  one Lord, one faith, one baptism,  one God and Father of all, who is above all and through all and in all.(Ephesians 4:1-6)

We are called to become more like Jesus, to follow him and his teachings.  We are to be united in our efforts and to be as one in Christ.  There is no higher calling than to follow in Jesus’ footsteps.  When we walk the walk instead of just talking the talk, this speaks volumes to those who are seeking the truth in their lives.  May God be with all of you in this journey.

Prayer: Dear Lord, you have called us together to be a force of good in the world, to represent you in all that we do.  I pray that you will keep us focused on you, putting aside everything that distracts us from doing your work.  In Jesus’ name, Amen.
