“Listen to what the unjust judge says.  And will not God bring about justice for his chosen ones, who cry out to him day and night? Will he keep putting them off?  I tell you, he will see that they get justice, and quickly. However, when the Son of Man comes, will he find faith on the earth?” (Luke 18:6-8)

     Jesus is telling a parable about a widow who was pleading her case to an unjust judge.  This judge didn’t have any genuine concern for the welfare of this woman, but because of her persistent pleading, he finally took steps to bring justice against her adversary.

     Then Jesus compares this judge to our Righteous Judge.  God listens to our prayers, and if it seems like they are not answered right away, it does not bother him if we are persistent in our prayers.  Unlike the unjust judge, God is very much concerned for our welfare, so we should not be reluctant to bring everything to him in prayer.  Let’s keep the faith, and don’t forget to pray!
