“Blessed are those who trust in the Lord, whose trust is the Lord. They shall be like a tree planted by water, sending out its roots by the stream. It shall not fear when heat comes, and its leaves shall stay green; in the year of drought it is not anxious, and it does not cease to bear fruit.” (Jeremiah 17:7-8)

     Stability is the word that comes to mind when I think of one of the essential things God gives us.  There is no doubt that we need stability in a world that has the potential to make us all feel very insecure.  Instead, when trouble comes our way, we do not have to fear.  God is our fortress, and as we trust in him, our hearts and minds are put at ease.  Jesus said, “Do not let your hearts be troubled.” (John 14:1) Paul said that nothing “in all creation will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.” (Romans 8:39)  

     Brothers and sisters in Christ, stand strong in your faith.  Almighty God loves us and cares for us, and he gives us all that we need.  He gives us strength and stability to face all of our days.

Prayer: Dear Lord, I am so glad that you are always there to give me encouragement.  I know that your love never fails.  You have shown your love towards me a countless number of times.  Thank you, In Jesus’ name, Amen.
