“My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever.” (Psalm 73:26)

Our faith involves knowing where our strength lies.  We are very limited in our human capabilities, but we can seek refuge with our Lord, who gives us the strength to carry on.  This is why it’s important to withdraw and pray, just like Jesus would do.  This all-important time in prayer will allow us to regroup and find renewed strength.  It’s good when we depend on the Lord, because he gives us all that we need.

Prayer: Dear Lord, at times we just feel like giving up, but when we approach you, we are given renewed strength.  Thank you for carrying us through the difficult times and restoring the joy of our salvation.  In Jesus’ name, Amen.
