“Blessed is the one who does not walk in step with the wicked or stand in the way that sinners take or sit in the company of mockers, but whose delight is in the law of the Lord, and who meditates on his law day and night.” (Psalm 1:1-2)

     We can be blessed, not always dependent on success, financial gain, or anything that brings happiness but doesn’t last.  When I was in school, having the summer off and away from school brought me happiness.  I was free, for the most part, to do a lot of fun activities, but by late August it was time to go back to school.  You can guess what brought me happiness, and what did not!

     Knowing that we are blessed should not depend on ideal circumstances, but we can be blessed when we know our Lord, seek his wisdom, and walk in his steps each day.  The Lord leads us down a steady path, feeling blessed even when things do not go our way!

Prayer: Dear Lord, I know that I am blessed because you give me a sense of security which the world cannot provide.  Thank you for your love and guidance, which I can experience each day.  In Jesus’ name, Amen.
