“For the grace of God has appeared that offers salvation to all people. It teaches us to say “No” to ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live self-controlled, upright and godly lives in this present age, while we wait for the blessed hope—the appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior, Jesus Christ.” (Titus 2:11-13)
Trusting God with our lives allows the grace of God to enter in and gives us a new attitude towards our lifestyle. We become wise to the ways of the world and how it can so cunningly deceive us. Now we can know the goodness of God and appreciate all that he has done for us; all that he has provided for us. As forgiven sinners, we experience the grace of God as he forgives us and corrects us when we steer off course and do our best to learn from our mistakes. Love is a ruling factor, learning to love others more than ever before.
While we enjoy the fruits of our labor, we know that life is fleeting, but we do not have to fear death, because when we put our faith in Christ, we can be confident in the glory that awaits us. Our lives are made complete.
Prayer: Dear Lord, you have done it all for us. Thank you for compelling us to take on a new way of life in which we trust in you each day. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
