“For the entire law is fulfilled in keeping this one command: “Love your neighbor as yourself.” (Galatians 5:14)

If we keep this one command, it does cover a lot of ground.  We will not be prone to breaking the other commandments when we love our neighbor.  Loving our neighbor moves us to rid ourselves of selfishness, putting aside our differences, finding some good in others and working towards achieving some common good in our pursuits.

Imagine a peaceful world in which we could live.  How wonderful that would be, but as ambassadors for Christ, we can do all that we can to make the world a better place, even if it is in just one small corner of the world.  God honors our commitment to loving one another.

Prayer: Dear Lord, thank you for this great commandment to love our neighbor.  When we honor this, we realize the impact it makes on the people around us.  We know that our efforts are not in vain. Strengthen our faith by reminding us of this each day.  In Jesus’ name, Amen.
