“They were all filled with awe and praised God.” (Luke 7:16)

     There was a widow who had just lost her only son.  Upon seeing this, Jesus was filled with compassion and brought the boy back to life.  Those who witnessed this had an overwhelming sense of how “big” God is. 

     Right now we have some challenges before us in our present life.  We need to ask our Lord, who is big enough to help us face those challenges.  Let’s not shy away from asking for help; God wants to meet our needs.  We can be at peace with God and with ourselves when we seek our Wonderful Counselor.

Prayer: Dear Lord, you are the one who gives me a sense of calm and peace, and you guide me in the right direction when I don’t know what to do.  Thank you for your overwhelming presence in my life.  In Jesus’ name, Amen.
