“Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved.” (Acts 4:12)

The rulers, elders and the teachers of the law met in Jerusalem.  Peter and John were brought before them, because the authorities were greatly disturbed by the apostles’ teachings.  They were asked, “By what power or what name did you do this?” (Acts 4:7) In response, Peter boldly proclaimed the name of Jesus and made it clear that Jesus is the only way to salvation.

Despite those who claim salvation by some other means, there has never been a need for confusion on this issue.  “For God is not the author of confusion but of peace.” (1 Corinthians 14:33) We can be confident that Jesus is “the way and the truth and the life.” (John 14:6) We can boldly proclaim the name of Jesus!

Prayer: Dear Lord, thank you for the clear message you brought to us.  For those who are searching, help them to know the truth.  In Jesus’ name, Amen.
