Many people are searching for answers regarding the Christian faith.  In Acts 8, Philip encounters an Ethiopian eunuch who fits the description of someone who is searching:

“The Spirit told Philip, “Go to that chariot and stay near it.” Then Philip ran up to the chariot and heard the man reading Isaiah the prophet. “Do you understand what you are reading?” Philip asked. “How can I,” he said, “unless someone explains it to me?” So he invited Philip to come up and sit with him.” (Acts 8:29-31)

     Philip was led by the Spirit to go and talk to this man.  He explains what the scripture from Isaiah is referring to, which was a prophecy concerning Jesus, and Philip tells him the good news concerning Jesus. 

     Not everyone is searching for the truth as much as this man was.  Some are adamantly opposed to Jesus.  In any situation, we can simply put out the truth and explain what God has done for us.  We extend the invitation, and then we rely on the Spirit to open their eyes to the truth.

Prayer: Dear Lord, we know of many people who need you.  Give us the words to say, and we trust in you to work on their hearts and minds.  In Jesus’ name, Amen.
