“Why do you look for the living among the dead?  He is not here; he has risen! Remember how he told you, while he was still with you in Galilee: ‘The Son of Man must be delivered over to the hands of sinners, be crucified and on the third day be raised again.’”  Then they remembered his words.” (Luke 24:5-8)

     The women who visited the tomb that morning were shocked at what they had seen.  The body of Jesus was missing, but now they find out that what Jesus told them would happen was absolutely true!  He has risen!

     The gospel of Jesus Christ is not only the thing that gives us hope, but it gives us the wonder and excitement for life that we need.  This is the greatest story ever told, so whenever we are discouraged, let’s remember what Jesus did for you and how he has changed your life.  We can walk with him daily, relying on him to give us peace within.

Prayer: Dear Lord, thank you for your presence in my life.  I know that you are with me at all times.  I have nothing to fear because I am secure with the knowledge of your love and salvation, and I know that I will live in the house of the Lord forever.  In Jesus’ name, Amen.
