“King Agrippa, do you believe the prophets? I know that you believe.”  Agrippa said to Paul, “Are you so quickly persuading me to become a Christian?”  Paul replied, “Whether quickly or not, I pray to God that not only you but also all who are listening to me today might become such as I am—except for these chains.” (Acts 26:27-29)

Paul was a prisoner, but at the same time, he experienced a special kind of freedom.  He was free from the slavery of sin, and he was not reticent in sharing his faith.  In the midst of being questioned in his own defense, Paul shows that he desires all to come to Christ, including rulers.  The world needs Jesus; everyone from the common people to those in high authority.  It matters very much for all to know and accept the grace, mercy, and forgiveness of our Lord.

Prayer: Dear Lord, you have made such a big difference in the lives of those who have come to know your saving grace.  We pray for those who are still in need of you.  Help them to realize how much they need you, and how much you love them.  In Jesus’ name, Amen.
