“Stand firm, and you will win life.” (Luke 21:19)

     In Luke 21 we get some information concerning the end times.  Jesus speaks of the destruction of the temple, of nation vs. nation, earthquakes, famine, pestilences, persecution, and more.  He tells us to not depend on certain “signs” to indicate when this will take place.  No one knows “but only the Father.” (Matthew 24:36)

     The concern for us is not to know when this will take place, but to know that we are standing firm in the faith.  We know how the world operates, but we also know the truth and reality of the Gospel.  Our mission is to live out that truth and to let others know it as well.

Prayer: Dear Lord, thank you for the clear message you give to the world.  Help us to not worry and focus on living out our faith each day, because you have given us knowledge of the things that matter the most.  In Jesus’ name, Amen.
