“Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will never pass away.” (Luke 21:33)

     While this life is fleeting, we can also keep in mind that God’s kingdom lasts forever.  This should be very good news for us, but how shall we live right now?  Ecclesiastes 12:13 gives us some insight, “Fear God and keep his commandments, for this is the duty of all mankind.”

     When we maintain a reverence toward God, we do not have to fear; we do not need to be anxious.  When we accept Christ into our lives and strive to live for him, we are on solid ground right now and take with us all of the goodness and love he has put into our hearts.  God’s love lasts forever, and that should give us great comfort.

Prayer: Dear Lord, thank you for guiding us down the right path.  Keep us close to you and free us from anxiety.  In Jesus’ name, Amen.
