“It (love) does not rejoice in wrongdoing but rejoices in the truth.  It bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.” (1 Corinthians 13:6-7)

     Choosing love is not always the easiest path to follow.  It requires us to have an unconditional love.  In the face of adversity, we are even asked to love our enemies!  Admittedly, this is not easy to do, but not impossible.  We can ask God to soften our hearts, and in the process, the world will see that we are not out to create division and animosity, but to heal and unite.  Our God has created a diverse world, and it is good when we recognize that we are all created in the image of God, and we are all precious in his sight.  Having the love of God within is worth it right now and in the long run.

Prayer: Dear Lord, as we choose your love to rule within us, keep us encouraged, knowing that we are doing the right thing by keeping your greatest commandments.  Your love never fails, so help us to do the same for others.  In Jesus’ name, Amen.
