“May the Lord direct your hearts to the love of God and to the steadfastness of Christ.” (2 Thessalonians 3:5)

     The church at Thessalonica became a model church because they persevered through adversity and were faithful as disciples of Jesus Christ.  In his letters to them, Paul praised them and encouraged them to stay on the course of faith. 

    When we just allow the Lord to guide us, we will know that we are going in the right direction.  We can persevere and not allow distractions to get in our way.  Our genuine outlook, as well as our words and actions will display the goodness of God and the love of God within us.  It is so good when we remain close to God; the world will see it and will know of our enduring faith.  This could even encourage others to do the same.

Prayer: Dear Lord, I want to stay close to you, because you are the one who always keeps me on a steady course, moving in the right direction.  Thank you for your continual guidance.  In Jesus’ name, Amen.
