“Do not let your heart envy sinners, but always continue in the fear of the Lord.  Surely there is a future, and your hope will not be cut off.” (Proverbs 23:17-18)

     When we give our hearts to the Lord, we know that a change has taken place.  “So if anyone is in Christ, there is a new creation: everything old has passed away; look, new things have come into being!” (2 Corinthians 5:17) Thank God for the power he has to change us!  And it is worth pointing out that there is no need to look back at our former life or at those who, at least up to this point have rejected Christ, and wonder if we have been missing out.  No need whatsoever!

     Not only do we have all that we need, but God supplies us with those things which we cannot put a price on, because we have the love of Christ and peace within.  No need to compare ourselves to others; God has already granted us a place in his kingdom, and nothing the world has to offer will come close to that.

Prayer: Dear Lord, because of you, I find peace and satisfaction.  I do not have to covet anything that does not last, but I do know that your kingdom lasts forever.  Thank you for welcoming me into your kingdom.  In Jesus’ name, Amen.
