“Now Stephen, a man full of God’s grace and power, performed great wonders and signs among the people.  Opposition arose, however, from members of the Synagogue of the Freedmen (as it was called)—Jews of Cyrene and Alexandria as well as the provinces of Cilicia and Asia—who began to argue with Stephen.  But they could not stand up against the wisdom the Spirit gave him as he spoke.” (Acts 6:8-10)

     Stephen was among the seven who were chosen to spread the word of God.  He was stalwart and unwavering in his faith.  God blessed him with all of his abilities.

     The world needs to hear from people who have the courage and tenacity of Stephen.  There are many dark forces working against our faith, but we can pray for many of the faith to combat against these forces, making the world a better place.  Let’s stand up for Jesus!

Prayer: Dear Lord, give us the wisdom and courage of Stephen.  Increase our faith each day.  In Jesus’ name, Amen.
