“In Damascus there was a disciple named Ananias. The Lord called to him in a vision, “Ananias!” “Yes, Lord,” he answered.  The Lord told him, “Go to the house of Judas on Straight Street and ask for a man from Tarsus named Saul, for he is praying.  In a vision he has seen a man named Ananias come and place his hands on him to restore his sight.” (Acts 9:10-12)

     Saul lost his sight, and Ananias was called upon to go to him, lay hands on him and restore his sight.  There was one problem—Ananias was concerned about Saul and his reputation of how he would persecute Christians.  But the Lord assured him that Saul was changing and had a much different kind of mission to fulfill, “Go! This man is my chosen instrument to proclaim my name to the Gentiles and their kings and to the people of Israel.” (Acts 9:15)

     Isn’t it reassuring to know how God’s plans seem to fall into place?  We might be skeptical at first when events in our life start to unfold, but hold on, God’s got a plan for you and for me!

Prayer: Dear Lord, help us not to doubt you and your plans for us.  Thank you for caring so much about us and giving us a reason to carry on.  In Jesus’ name, Amen.
